Books dedicated to the professional puppetry world

The Ressource Centre of the “Institut International de la Marionnette “  in  Charleville-Mézières houses an impressive quantity of books dedicated to the professional puppetry world. In the languages of their authors (most often in english and german), they reveal the tricks of the trade that specialists  from other times and cultures have been willing to transmit. Some of these books are unobtainable, but others are available on the market (especially on www.puppetbooks.co.uk). For those particularly interested, I recommend 4 of them in order of increasing difficulty (non exhaustive list) :
